Diljit Dosanjh faces backlash over ‘India lacks infrastructure’ comment post Coldplay concerts; netizens say, “You need to be better aware”

Coldplay has been making the headlines for its wonderful tour in India. From Chris Martin welcoming fans in Hindi to giving a shoutout to superstar Shah Rukh Khan, his concert has been the talk of the town. On the other hand, the global music sensation Diljit Dosanjh brought his Dil-Luminati tour back home. He performed in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and Bengaluru, making headlines for over a month.

Diljit Dosanjh comments on ‘India Lacks Infrastructure’ during Dil-luminati tour

During one of his shows, Diljit comments that he would not perform in India until the infrastructure improves. Now, netizens have clapped back at him after seeing glimpses from the Coldplay concert. Sharing a video of Coldplay concert, several social media users shared their views about his remark. One of the users wrote, “Coldplay at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India does have a world-class infrastructure for live concerts.”

Another tweeted, “Hello @diljitdosanjh, India does have the infrastructure for such concerts, it’s only that you need to be better aware and need to prepare better.”

“India does have the infrastructure for live concerts @diljitdosanjh. Just hire a better team,” remarked a netizen.

A tweet read, “This is how Coldplay concert went last evening in Ahmedabad but @diljitdosanjh says no more shows until India improves Infrastructure! What would you like to tell the singer from Punjab?.”

Here’s what Diljit Dosanjh stated during his concert

Diljit talked about the Indian infrastructure during one of his tours. He said, “I want to tell the designated authorities that India does not have the infrastructure for live shows. This is a big revenue-generating space. It also gives livelihood to many. Please focus on this space as well. I will try to set up a stage in the middle while the crowd is distributed around it (to improve the concert experience). I will not perform shows here until things improve here. Instead of troubling us, improve the infrastructure.”

Meanwhile, Coldplay has wrapped up their India tour. After the last concert in Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The concert, part of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, is streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar in India. Coldplay’s Mumbai concerts have been a resounding success. Celebrities like Shreya Ghoshal, Suhana Khan, Navya Nanda Naveli, Kajal Aggarwal, and others were spotted enjoying the shows.
